HTC Superfloor Platinum for a new pharmaceutical warehouse, with areas released in phases for racking installation.

Phased handover
GSK selected polished concrete for its new materials management centre in Harlow after initially considering a resin finish. The brief called for a floor with a long service life and straightforward cleaning and maintenance.
Preparation and finish
Morgan Sindall installed a Lafarge Extensia slab to FM2 and FM1 Special tolerances in the relevant areas. After sufficient curing, Ecoflor completed a seven-stage HTC Superfloor Platinum grinding process, including densification with HTC Cure. Dry grinding equipment with HEPA vacuum extraction controlled dust during the work.
Completed work
The high-bay warehouse was released in phases, allowing the racking contractor to start earlier than anticipated. The project illustrates the importance of coordinating slab construction, curing, floor finishing and follow-on trades.
